EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing focuses

on traumas big & small, acute and chronic.

EMDR can heal

those wounds.

Sex

As one of our basic

needs, as well as a source of pleasure, sex can be the most difficult area to seek help for.

My Approach

Because my life has been filled with challenges, I have a deep understanding of suffering. My journey to here was made up of years of family dysfunction and abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, mad passion for acting and punk rock, and many failed loves and lusts. My life changed when I decided to do things differently. I got sober. I began to heal.

My specialties are the result of my personal experiences:

-I focus on sex because my shame and guilt have healed.

-I focus on trauma because my fears no longer rule my thought life.

-I focus on addiction because hope has replaced hopelessness.

That is my wish for you. If you do things differently, things will be different.

My approach includes helping you choose the life you want to live. My practice helps find relief for those suffering from sensitive sex/sexuality issues, traumas, addictions, anxieties and depression. Using a combination of EMDR and Mindfulness, we work together to create the life you want to live.

About me
IMG_0778_edited.jpg

I have been in the Mental Health industry for 17 years. I have a PhD. in Human Sexuality, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I am a fully Certified EMDR Therapist. I became a Mindful EMDR Therapist 7 years ago at the insistence of a Clinical Director I was working for at the time, and I have never looked back.

My story, with its chapters of poverty and neglect, mental illness and addictions began building the road to here. At the age of 40, with a High School education, a slew of failed relationships and unattained career goals, I bottomed out, felt a glimmer of hope and got help!

As my body and mind began to heal, new goals began to develop. With much support from Spiritual teachers, therapists and mentors, I jumped onto the road of self-discovery: 12 Steps, Mindful practices, school, spiritual quests, higher education, I finally found my purpose and now my passion: Helping people heal their minds. I love being a Mindful EMDR Therapist.  Seeing people transform their fear into calmness is the greatest reward I get from the work I do. I am here to stay.

I still love acting & punk rock!
